Argentina: July cement demand climbs 12.6% YoY

The Argentinean cement market expanded by 1.3 per cent MoM and 12.6 per cent YoY in July 2015, according to domestic cement producers’ association, AFCP. The country’s cement plants dispatched 1,073,762t, including 4140t of exports, a YoY increase in total deliveries of 11 per cent and a MoM rise of 1.3 per cent. No cement was imported. Portland and blended cement shipments in the US and Puerto Rico reached 7.8Mt in May, according to preliminary results from the US Geological Survey (USGS). Armenia cut its cement exports 2.5-fold to 73,000t in 2014, down from 185,200t in 2013, according to a report by ARMINFO News (Armenia).
