Despite the fact that there were no forced stoppages in cement plants and the construction was impacted by heavy rains, imports continued to reach the domestic market. US December shipments – preliminary data19 February 2015, Published under Cement NewsPortland and blended cement shipments in December 2014 reached 6.24Mt, preliminary data from the US Geological Survey (USGS) shows. This takes full-year shipments to 88.53Mt, according to the initial indicators. Imports during December amounted to 545,259t, while for the full year they reached 7.31Mt. Clinker production for the final month of the year was 6.46Mt. For the full year clinker output totalled 74.93Mt. The full monthly report will be published in approximately two weeks. |
