Paraguay: cement price decrease expected17 November 2014, Published under Cement NewsJorge Méndez, head of Paraguay’s Industria Nacional del Cemento (INC), announced a drop in cement prices for 2015-16. At present the price of a 50kg bag of cement is PYG42,000, but next year is expected to see the price fall to PYG35,000. Kenyan production climbs 15.2 per cent YoY14 November 2014, Published under Cement NewsCement production in Kenya rose by 15.2 per cent as consumption in the east African country surges, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics. Cuba: Cienfuegos reserves sufficient for Karl Marx plant14 November 2014, Published under Cement NewsThe quarries of Cienfuegos province, Cuba, have reserves for some 150 years and thus ensure the continued operation for the Karl Marx cement plant, the country’s largest cement producer, according to ACN, the Cuban news agency.
