Ecuador cement sales during October 2014 reached 602,748t, up 4.61 per cent compared to the previous month. Accumulated sales over the first 10 months of this year were 5.381Mt, according to the latest data from domestic cement association INECYC.

Peru: exports offset domestic sales slip

Peru’s cement market remained stable in October as domestic sales slipped slightly from 967,000t in October 2013 to 965,000t, according to Asocem, the country’s cement association. The state government of Bihar has approved Shree Cement’s plans for a new cement plant in the Aurangabad district. Informing about the Cabinet decision, B Pradhan, Principal Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat told reporters: “The company had proposed to set up a cement plant with a production capacity of 20 lakh metric tonnes per annum [2Mta]. Sibirsky Cement anticipates 2015 sales decline

Russian concrete producer Sibirsky Cement expects its sales to decrease by per cent YoY in 2015, First Vice President Gennady Rasskazov told reporters. “We are making budget plans for next year, but I think that it (sales) will stand at 4-4.1Mt,” Rasskazov said. In 2014, sales are expected to remain flat from the previous year and stand at around 4.3Mt, he said.

Vicem October sales up 19% YoY

State-owned Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem) said it sold 2.09Mt of cement and clinker in October, rising 18.9 per cent from a year ago. Of the volume, 1.65Mt of cement and clinker were sold in domestic market, up 10.7 per cent YoY, and 439,000t were exported, rising 65 per cent.
