New plant to open in Cambodia

Chip Mong Insee Cement Corporation plans to have its 2Mta plant in Kampot province fully operational early this year, according to Khmer Times. The company signed a partnership agreement with Citic Heavy Industries Company in 2016 to build the plant for US$262m. “It will produce two kinds of cement: Camel and Diamond Insee cements,” said Suy Sem, Minister of Mines and Energy in Cambodia. The total cement demand within Cambodia is expected to reach 5Mta within this year.

Dangote Cement Nepal Pvt Ltd has lost its attempt to win an open bid for a mining licence in Nepal. Oman Cement Co (OCC) visited Brazil to seek partners for a new cement plant in Duqm, an industrial and port free trade zone in Oman. Kohat Cement Co Ltd has informed Pakistan Stock Exchange Ltd that a letter of credit for setting up 7800tpd grey cement line has been established. Evergreen Holdings to build new plant in Uzbekistan

Evergreen Holdings has initiated plans to construct a new cement plant in Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan. The South Korean company will complete the project in several stages according to the demand of cement in Uzbekistan and neighbouring countries, reports Trend News Agency.
