Bestway Cement Co and Pakistan Railways have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for transporting from Sindh to Punjab. Under the MoU coal would be transported from Port Qasim and Bin Qasim Railway Station to Ushman Khattar and Pind Dadan Khan Railway Station. During the first six months of current FY16-17, Pakistan's cement industry recorded a growth of 11.07 per cent in local dispatches, while exports declined 3.53 per cent compared during the same period of last year, respectively. Pakistani cement manufacturers earned revenues of US$23.68m on exports of 455,720t cement in November 2016, compared to US$28.30m on 543,674t of exports in the previous month.
