Peruvian domestic dispatches stable

Cement dispatches in Peru edged up 0.14 per cent in Jan-Feb 2014 to 1,639,454t when compared with the equivalent period of the previous year, according to Peru’s cement association, Asocem. However, producers saw a 25.3 per cent YoY drop in exports, which reached 32,569t. Cement production in the country’s cement plants fell 1.2 per cent to 1,657,696t when compared with Jan-Feb 2013.

Cement shipments in Peru reached 824,137.39t in January, according to the country’s cement assocation Asocem. This represents a YoY decrease of 3.1 per cent. In January, Peruvian cement producers exported 17,220t.

Cement deliveries in Peru reached 10,256,359t in 2013, up 7.15 per cent YoY when compared with the 9,571,920t dispatched in 2012, according to Peru’s cement association, Asocem. Cement dispatches in Peru increased 7.45 per cent YoY to 9,408,853t between January and November 2013, according to the its cement association Asocem. The latest figures confirm a cooling trend as dispatches in October increased 8.23 per cent and January-November 2012 showed a rise of 16.6 per cent. Peru’s Jan-Nov demand advances 7.5% YoY

Cement dispatches in Peru fell from 939,135t in October to 896,600t in November. However, the country’s cement companies produced 920,636t, up from 916,774t the previous month and cement exports rose from 18,090t to 23,236t during the period. For January to November, Peruvian cement demand increased by 7.45 per cent YoY to 9,408,853t while exports rose 5.33 per cent to 182,427t. Around 9,598,552t of cement was produced, an advance of 6.9 per cent when compared with Jan-Nov 2012.

Thang Long delivers export shipment to Peru

Thang Long Cement JSC has exported 30,000t of bulk cement to Peru, its first shipment to the country and largest consignment so far this year.
