Finland-based technology group Wärtsilä is to supply power generation equipment for an extension to Cherat Cement Ltd. The Pakistani cement producer has contracted Wärtsilä to supply three Wärtsilä 34DF dual-fuel engines capable of operating on both natural gas and heavy fuel oil (HFO). N+P has agreed an extended solid recovered fuel (SRF) supply agreement with Vassiliko Cement Works and its subsidiary Enerco Energy Recovery. The Chinese design institute NCDRI has awarded a contract to Claudius Peters for the delivery of two clinker cooler conversions. Hanson UK (HeidelbergCement group) has extended its involvement with EDF Energy’s Hinkley Point C project in the UK, securing a roads construction contract for the Kier Bam joint venture (JV) through its contracting division.
