Iran has exported cement to the value US$233m in the first seven months of the current financial year (started 20 March 2017). In terms of volumes, 7.1Mt of cement were exported to some 34 countries during this period. US EPA extends comment period for NESHAP Residual Risk rule

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has extend the comment period on its rule “National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants from the Portland Cement Manufacturing Industry Residual Risk and Technology Review” from 6 November to 21 November 2017. The EPA is making this change due to a request for additional time to prepare comments on the proposed rule.

Total shipments of Portland and blended cement in the US and Puerto Rico in August 2017 reached 9.7Mt, an increase of 3.1 per cent when compared with August 2016, according to the latest data from the US Geological Survey (USGS).
