Cameroonian company Quiferou has signed on Monday a mining agreement with the government of the Central African Republic (CAR), according to APA. Quifero plans to produce cement at Bomoko, in the southwest of CAR.
Quiferou plans to produce 0.35Mta of cement, said Jacquis Pogouya, the company’s CEO.
CAR Minister of Mines, Léopold Mboli Fatrane, who signed the agreement, said the agreement is the result of a long process of consideration to produce cement at a lower cost in the country. "It is the result of south-south cooperation. This signature was authorised by the National Assembly, "said the Minister of Mines, who was assisted by the Minister of Finance, Henri Marie Dondra.
