The World Cement Association (WCA) has announced the opening of its World Cement Association Beijing and President's office. The facility will be an addition to the association's headquarters in London and will be located at the building of China National Building Material Group (CNBM).
"We are delighted to further expand our presence in China by opening our World Cement Association Beijing and President’s office," said Norman Greig, Secretary General of the World Cement Association. "As the producer of more than 50 per cent of the world's cement, China plays an important role in the global cement industry, so I am very pleased that CNBM is giving us the opportunity to open an office in China."
The office will also include the WCA Technology Centre, the WCA Research Institute and WCA Climate Change liaison. The Beijing site will allow the association to deepen its ties with Chinese cement producers and other stakeholders and to build links and share best practice with surrounding markets.
