Iran sees cement exports up, clinker exports down

Iran exported 5.48Mt of cement and clinker during the first five months (21 March-22 August 2019) of the Iranian year, according to the Secretary of Iran’s Cement and Clinker Export Market, Abdolreza Sheikhan.

Clinker exports slipped by almost two per cent but cement exports advanced by 17 per cent when compared with the equivalent period in the previous year.

Output from domestic cement plants increased 4.8 per cent YoY to 25.17Mta.
