Unitherm Cemcon has commissioned a new 35MW multi-fuel burner in the Côte d'Ivoire. The Austrian burner company has commissioned a MAS Disc Technology® kiln burner in a 1200tpd calcined clay rotary kiln combined with a UNISAT satellite burner for the highest substitution rate. The burner will be used to burn coal/petcoke, liquid fuel and alternative fuels.
The alternative fuels includes fine shredded cashew nut shells to replace coal, highlighting the potential of renewable fuels in industrial processes.
The advanced firing system ensures efficient operation, even with low-temperature secondary air, claims Unitherm Cemcon.
