Tajikistan produced 4.35Mt of cement in 20024, down 2.3 per cent from 4.454Mt in 2023, according to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies. Officials at the ministry attributed the drop in output due to increasing production in Uzbekistan, with the Uzbek government imposing higher tariffs on Tajik cement imports.
Tajikistan’s cement production base consists of 10 cement plants, including nine integrated plants and one grinding unit, with a total cement capacity of 7.84Mta.
