Companies in Vietnam sold 72.71Mt of cement and clinker in 2015, rising three per cent from a year earlier and exceeding the whole-year target by one per cent, the country's Ministry of Construction said. Bestway Group of the UK, parent company of Pakistan's largest cement producer, announced that its consolidated turnover for the year ending 30 June 2015 increased by 20 per cent to GBP3.06bn from GBP2.55bn in 2014. Brazilian cement sales in 2015 declined by 9.2 per cent YoY to 64.4Mt, preliminary data and market estimates published by Sindicato Nacional da Indústria do Cimento (SNIC) reveal. Dispatches were down in all five regions, with the steepest annual declines registered in Central-West (-12.5 per cent) and Southeast (-10.9 per cent), followed by the North (-7.8 per cent), South (-6.9 per cent) and Northeast (-5.7 per cent). Indonesia cement sales rise 1.8 per cent in 2015

Cement sales in Indonesia rose by 1.8 per cent to 61Mt in 2015 thanks to the latest surge of government infrastructure projects in the latter half of the year, thet Indonesia Cement Association (ASI) said on Tuesday. "We closed [2015] in a positive way," ASI chairman, Widodo Santoso, told the Jakarta Globe. Cement producers are now targeting between 4-6 per cent growth this year counting on government infrastructure projects, Widodo added.

Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem), the country’s leading cement producer, sold 20.06Mt of cement and clinker in the first 11 months of 2015, up 2.9 per cent from a year earlier. Cement production in Poland decreased by 3.1 per cent YoY to 1.22Mt in November, while sales rose by 3.6 per cent to 1.24Mt, Poland's Cement Producer Association said in a statement.
