Andusia forms partnership with SRF producer for Mediterranean exports

Andusia has partnered with Mid UK Recyling (Beaupar group), the UK's largest solid recovered fuel (SRF) producer. Caribbean Cement to dispose of over 2m tyres

Jamaica’s Caribbean Cement has been selected by the country’s government to remove and dispose of over 2m old tyres stockpiled at the Riverton City disposal site in Kingston, according to the Jamaica Observer. Gulf Cement is preventing thousands of tonnes of camel waste from going to landfill. The cement company is cutting its emissions while using camel dung to supplement its fuel usage. The Wyoming Infrastructure Authority (WIA) and the Japan Coal Energy Center have signed an MoU to research solid sorbent capture technology with the twin-goals of reducing emissions and producing cement with inputs from the coal sector. Dalmia Cement to take non-hazardous waste

Dalmia Cement's Ariyalur plant has agreed for the safe disposal of non-hazardous waste from the Golden Rock Railway Workshop (GRRW) in Turuchi, India. Dalmia's cement plant the second cement factory to accept waste from the GRR after UltraTech Cement's Ariyalur plant disposed of nearly 5000t of this zero-value waste in 2017. Ethiopian cement plants encouraged to turn to biomass

The Ethiopian government hopes that more cement plants will consider replacing their coal imports with locally-produced biomass to reduce foreign currency spending and cut carbon emissions.
