Big Boss Cement withdraws from Tarlac project

Philippines-based Big Boss Cement has pulled out of its plans to construct a grinding unit worth PHP6bn (US$116.5m) in Bamban, Tarlac, following protests by some of the town’s residents. The protesters were reportedly concerned that the plant would pose health risks to the community, according to the Philippine Daily Inquirer. Tycoon's plans for Lebanese 3Mt cement plant back on

Pierre Fattouche, a businessman with interestes in Armenia and South Sudan, wants to build a 3Mta cement plant in Lebanon to export cement to Syria. Power Cement's WHR plant nears completion

Power Cement Ltd has announced that it is installing a 12MW waste heat recovery (WHR) power plant, which is expected to be operational later this year at the company's plant site in Deh Kalo Kohar, Nooriabad Industrial Estate, District Dadu (Sindh).
