Dyckerhoff may revive Russian cement plans

Dyckerhoff is currently examining options to revive plans for the construction of a cement factory in Akbulak, German newspaper Boersen-Zietung reports. Sibirsky Cement has paid out over EUR4m to the London branch of Netherlands-based ING Bank NV regarding a failed deal between the Russian producer and Italcementi for Turkish assets, according to local press reports. Pikalevskiy Cement surpasses production target, Russia

Russian cement producer, Pikalevskiy Cement, part of the Eurocement group, produced 86,710t of cement in February – 0.5 per cent above its target. Meanwhile, cement shipments for the month totalled 88,915t, 2.7 per cent above the target plan.

Belgrod Cement increases shipments, Russia

Russia-based producer Belgrod Cement, part of the Eurocement Group, increased shipments by more than 30 per cent YoY in the first two months of 2012. Cement and clinker production increased by more than 60,000t compared to the same period of 2011. Furthermore, its bagged shipments increased seven-fold. In terms of energy efficiency, savings per ton of cement from the beginning of this year amounted to 13.5kWh, SKRIN News reported. 

Nevyanskiy Tsementnik monthly production beats target, Russia

Nevyanskiy Tsementnik, which operates in the Sverdlovsk of Russia, produced 72,747t of cement in February 2011, exceeding the company’s plan by seven per cent. RTsK eyes stake in Iskitimcement, Russia

Russian Cement Company, a joint venture of Sibtsem Holding and Rostekhnologii State Corporation, has reached agreements in principle for the acquisition of a 63% stake in Iskitimcement with RATM-Holding. Eurocement Group, Russia’s leading cement producer, has held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new plant in the Samara, Volga region which is part of the company’s impressive multibillion expansion programme. Eurocement awards contract for new power facilities, Russia

Russia’s leading cement producer, Eurocement Group, is to build power facilities in the Samara region and has signed a contract with FGC UES for their construction. Power facilities to be constructed include a 220kW transmission line and a 220kV electric power substation, SKIRIN news reports.
