Cement export to Tanzania PSQCA refuses certification

Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) has refused certification of Lucky Cement Ltd’s ordinary portland cement exported to Tanzania. Russia to scrap five per cent import duty on cement as of January 1.

Abolishment of Export Rebates Leads to Sharp Drop in Cement Exports

With China completely abolishing the cement export rebate in July, according to statistics from the General Administration of Customs, exports dropped sharply starting from August. Cement exports stood at 3,037,000t, 2,773,00t and 2,252,00t respectively in August, September and October, dropping by 28.7%, 8% and 22.1% year-on-year.

Russia to abolish some import tariffs

The Russian Government is to abolish import tariffs on some types of cement within nine months. The act was signed by Victor Zubkov, this week, reports the Russian government press-service Zero rate is approved for white cement, aluminate cement and specialist refractory cement. The rate for concrete products, tiles and other similar goods will total 7.5% of customs cost.
