Aumund has won a contract by Simona EE Overseas Development to deliver an order or material handling equipment for Limak Çimento Sanayi ve Ticaret, in Turkey. The order comprises three bucket elevators, five chain bucket elevators, seven pan conveyors and five drag chain conveyors. Dispatch is scheduled for the end of this year. Taiwan Cement Corp (TCC) has announced that it and Sanko Holding AS has signed a memorandum of understanding and a confidentiality clause regarding the company’s intention to invest in the Turkish group. Talks about the strategic partnership are expected to continue until a definitive contract is signed. Cement exports from Cameroon reached 57,459t in 2017, a considerable increase from 19,700t in 2016, according to data released by the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Trade. Turkish cement export up 7% in 2017

Turkey's cement exports rose 6.9 per cent YoY to 8Mt in 2017, according to the Turkish Cement Manufacturers’ Association (TCMB). Turkey produced 81Mt of cement and clinker in 2017, up 6.8 per cent when compared with 2016. Of this total, 9.9 per cent was exported, said the TCMB. Most exports were destined for the USA, but the largest increase in export volumes was to Haiti.
