Cement demand in Vietnam slips 1% YoY

Total cement demand in Vietnam fell to 5.828Mt in December 2018, down by one per cent YoY, but up three per cent when compared with November 2018, according to the latest data by the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Cement consumption in Vietnam remained largely stable in November 2018 when compared with the previous year at 5.675Mt, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Vietnamese exports of cement and clinker soared to 2.251Mt in July 2018, up 61 per cent YoY. Total cement consumption in Vietnam increased to 5.812Mt in June, representing a YoY rise of 126 per cent and a MoM fall of nine per cent, according to the Vietnam National Cement Assocation (VNCA).
