Dangote Cement 's pan-African volumes reduced by 11 per cent to 4.9Mt from 5.5Mt in the 1H22 due to increased supply chain challenges and maintenance activities.  The best-performing markets for the group were Ethiopia, Senegal and Tanzania. Calucem plans a US$35m US calcium aluminate cement plant

Specialty cement manufacturer Calucem will enter the US market by developing a US$35m manufacturing facility in eastern New Orleans. Greece’s first carbon capture project in a cement plant has begun with RECODEH2020 partners successfully launching the demonstration unit at TITAN Cement Group’s Kamari plant . Cementir's revenue totals EUR805m in the 1H22

Cementir's  revenues from sales and services reached EUR805.2m (US$821.7m), an increase of 21.2 per cent compared to EUR664.5m in the 1H21. Breedon Goup's interim 2022 results saw revenue reach GBP671.1m (US$809.1m) up 12 per cent from GBP600.9m in 1H21. EBIT totalled GBP65.5m, up 22 per cent from GBP53.7m, and profit before tax totalled GBP59.5m, up 29 per cent from GBP46.2m. Cement consumption in Spain remained stable in June, registering a -0.1 per cent slip when compared to June 2021, according to the Spanish cement association, Oficemen. In the first six months of 2022, demand increased by 2.5 per cent to 7,487,569t, but exports were down 21 per cent YoY to 2,908,877t. National Cement Co 's Ragland cement plant, in Alabama, USA, has completed a two-year, US$300m project to install a new production line with alternative fuels.
