Indonesia's annual domestic cement demand reached 65.215Mt in 2021, representing an increase of 4.3 per cent on the year before, in line with industry expectations.   All of the domestic regions recorded higher demand in 2021. Cementir's group revenue in 2021 set the historical record of EUR1360m, up 11 per cent compared to EUR1224.8m in 2020. Hercules Enterprises applies for new UK grinding plant

Hercules Enterprises Ltd, majority owned by Spanish group Cementos La Cruz , is applying to Kent County Council (KCC) for permission to build a 500,000tpa grinding plant at Sheerness Docks, UK. Breedon Group Plc announced revenue from audited annual results for the year ended 31 December 2021 totalling GBP1232.5m, up 33 per cent from GBP928.7m in 2020. Dangote Cement reported that for the year ended 31 December 2021, group revenue reached NGN1383.6bn (US$3.327bn), up 33.8 per cent on 2020. The group recorded a record EBITDA of NGN684.6bn. Cement production in Italy in December 2021 saw a one per cent drop when compared with the index with a 2015 base, an improvement when compared with the November 2021when the fall was six per cent, according to Federbeton, Italy’s concrete association. Pakistan-based Dewan Cement Ltd posted a turnover of PKR4149.6m (US$23.4m) in the quarter ended 31 December 2021 (2QFY21-22), up from PKR931.6m in the 2QFY20-21. In the 2QFY21-22, the company achieved an operating profit of PKR68.8m, an improvement when compared with the PKR334.5m loss in the 2QFY20-21.
