Cement sales in Brazil edged up 1.1 per cent YoY to 5.864Mt in August 2021, according to SNIC, the country’s cement association. All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) released dispatch figures for August 2021 with a positive note that the cement sector posted growth of 22.8 per cent in August 2021 by dispatching 4.336Mt when compared with 3.531Mt during the same month of the previous fiscal year. Total cement and clinker exports from Vietnam declined two per cent YoY in July 2021, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). The country’s cement producers supplied 3,202,346t of cementitious product to customers beyond its borders. However, when compared with June 2021, exports were up by 15 per cent. Iranian cement sales down in July

Iran’s cement market contracted by 30.8 per cent MoM to 4Mt in July 2021 from 5.78Mt in June 2021. Clinker production declined from 6.75Mt in June 2021 to 3.95Mt in July 2021 while cement output decreased to 4.38Mt in July from 6.02Mt in June. In addition to a shrinking domestic market, exports of cement and clinker in July fell to 0.41Mt and 0.3Mt, respectively when compared with the previous month, when cement and clinker exports stood at 0.36Mt and 0.63Mt, respectively.

Peru sees demand up 26% in July 2021

Peru’s cement market grew 26 per cent YoY to 1.135Mt in July 2021, compared with 0.904Mt in the year-ago period, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Cement production also advanced 29 per cent to 1.063Mt in July 2021 against 0.821Mt in the same month of 2020. Compared to July 2019, production climbed 24 per cent from 0.858Mt. Czech Republic sees domestic sales up 4% in 2020

The Czech Republic’s cement output declined 1.2 per cent YoY to 4.51Mt in 2020, which was still the second-highest level since 2008, according to preliminary data. Overall domestic sales expanded by 4.2 per cent to 4Mt. Cement exports declined 26 per cent to 562,720t, with the most important markets being Slovakia (almost 50 per cent), Poland (about 25 per cent), Germany (18 per cent) and Austria (10 per cent), according to the Czech News Agency.

Argentina’s cement consumption increased 20.9 per cent YoY and 8.5 per cent MoM to 1,043,388Mt in July 2021 from 862,675t in July 2020 and from 961,512t in June 2021, according to the country’s cement association, AFCP.
