The Peruvian cement market expanded 2.1 per cent YoY in November 2019 with total sales of 1.048Mt (November 2019: 1.026Mt), according to Peru’s cement association, Asocem. Cement sales in Brazil increased 3.9 per cent YoY in November to 4.7Mt, according to SNIC, the country’s cement association. Paraguay’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) said it is lifting restrictions on cement imports following the shortage of the product due to production issues. The Paraguayan market requires a supply of 100,000 bags of cement per day.
