Cement dispatches in Colombia fell by 11.4 per cent to 1.003Mt in September 2024 from 1.131Mt in September 2023, according to the country's statistics office, DANE. Total shipments of Portland and blended cement, including imports, in the USA and Puerto Rico amounted to 9.926Mt in August, down 8.9 per cent YoY from the 10.901Mt recorded in August 2023, according to data published by the US Geological Survey (USGS). Cement consumption in Argentina dropped 19.9 per cent YoY and 1.3 per cent MoM in October 2024 to 901,222t from 1,125,075t in October 2023, reported the country’s cement association, AFCP.
