Binani Industries has revived its plan to float 10.9 per cent equity of its cement arm Binani Cement Ltd through a public issue.   the company said it had withdrawn the draft prospectus filed with SEBI in February for sale of 10.9 per cent in the cement arm.    the prospectus will be re-filed with J.P. Chinfon’s clinker production rises, Vietnam

Chinfon Cement Co has produced 1.2Mt of clinker and 1.8Mt of cement by the middle of October, 65,000t more than last year’s corresponding period.    The company has sold over 1.75Mt of cement, 200,000t more than in the same period last year.     The company plans to sell 2.4Mt of cement in 2006 and to keep a stable price in the market.

China to build cement factory in Cape Verde

China plans to build a cement factory in Cape Verde at a total investment of US$55m, as part of a package of trade agreements that China signed with 10 African countries Sunday in Beijing. JK Cement to start work for Karnataka plant by December

Customers claimed an additional J$100m in compensation from Caribbean Cement Company in the September quarter, according to reports from the ’Jamaican Gleaner,’ pushing overall demand for damages so far for being sold a poor quality product to J$260m, the latest figures from the company show. Bank of Thailand’s latest statistics indicate a mild recovery in domestic cement consumption in September of 2.4Mt, increasing 5.3 per cent YoY while domestic price remains flat MoM but increased 4.3 per cent YoY. Vietnam-based company Lilama 18 to build cement plant in Cambodia

Lilama 18, a subsidiary of the Vietnam Machinery Installation Corporation (Lilama), and Seam Cement Co. Ltd. signed a contract to build a cement plant in Cambodia’s Kampot province on Oct. 30.
