Lafarge to build replacement cement factory in Aceh, Indonesia10 May 2006, Published under Cement NewsLafarge said it will build a new cement factory in Aceh with an annual production capacity of 1.6Mta to be operational in 2008. The new factory will be a replacement for one of its PT Semen Andalas Indonesia (SAI) destroyed by the tsunami in Aceh in December, 2004. Thomas Patrick Ehrhart, president of PT SAI said construction of the factory will soon take place after SAI receives a bridging loan of US$30m. |
