Yemeni Al-Barh Cement Plant output

Yemeni state-run al-Barh Cement Plant in the southwestern governorate of Taiz produced a total 569,437t of cement in 2005, the plant’s director general Hussain Saeed al-Malaisi said on January 9, 2006.  Clinker output amounted to 531,824t in 2005, surpassing the plant’s annual target by 44,204t.  The al-Barh Cement Plant was set up in 1993.

State and producers royalties dispute

The domestic cement deliveries in Switzerland’s cement industry increased by 7.9 per cent YoY to 4.268Mt in 2005, the local industry association Cemsuisse said.
