Cement prices rise 25% in Uzbekistan

Cement prices in Uzbekistan have risen 24.7 per cent YoY in the first nine months of 2018, alongside an overall increase of 18.4 per cent in the price of building materials. Meanwhile, a decline in cement production within the country has been attributed to a price hike of around 60 per cent for gas and electricity for the construction industry.

APCMA reports cement dispatches bounce back in September

Cement deliveries in Switzerland  slipped 1.7 per cent YoY to 1,144,790t in the third quarter of 2018, according to Cemsuisse, the country’s cement association. Fly ash transported through India's inland water highway

China increases cement output

Cement output in China advanced 0.5 per cent in the first eight months of 2018 to 1.38bnt, according to the National Commission for Development and Reform (NCDR). Cement production in Ukraine for the Jan-Aug 2018 period has fallen 2.9 per cent YoY, according to Pavlo Kachur, head of the Ukrcement Association of Cement Manufacturers.
