Dangote Cement will start selling cement produced in its factory in Cameroon from July onwards. It expects works on its new plant to be finalised within a month, according to the company. The All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association has proposed a number of incentives to facilitate the industry ahead of tomorrow’s 2014-15 Budget announcement. Sinoma has been awarded its second cement plant project in Algeria as the Lafarge-Souakri joint venture signed the turnkey contract for its Djamoura works in Biskra. The new works will have a production capacity of nearly 3Mta and represents an initial investment of DZD32bn (US$0.4bn). Vietnam is estimated to have produced 5.5Mt of cement in May, up four per cent from April and 9.8 per cent from a year ago, according to data from the government’s General Statistics Office (GSO) said.?? China cement exports decline in 4M14

China's cement exports declined by 9.4 per cent YoY to 2.96Mt in the first four months of 2014, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs. However, the growth rate was 1.5 per cent higher than the level realised in the first quarter of this year. Clinker exports surged 63.09 per cent YoY to 1.31Mt over the Jan-April 2014 period. Iskitimcement, based in Novosibirsk region, Siberia, said sales are expected to remain flat this year at 1.7M, according to Russian media. Mangalam Cement, part of the BK Birla Group, has started commercial production at its new cement mill in Adityanagar Morak, District Kota, Rajasthan.
