Holcim to close Hungarian plant

Holcim is to close  its cement factory in the Hungarian city of Labatlan (N Hungary) by next year, communications director of Holcim Hungaria Zrt., Iren Marta told local press on Monday. Cement deliveries to Lebanon declined by 5.32 per cent YoY to 3,075,466t during the first seven months of 2012, from 3,248,415t a year earlier. Paramount Pictures has unveiled plans to build one of the world’s biggest theme parks in Britain – creating 27,000 jobs at a former cement works.
