Argentine April shipments decline

Argentine shipments (including exports) in April 2012 fell 17.9% from the previous month to 798,513t, data from the Argentine cement association, AFCP, shows. Compared to April 2011, shipments were down 16.5%. Domestic sales, including imports, reached 782,379t, a YoY drop of 17.9 per cent.

Pakistan domestic sales rise, exports fall

Figures from the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association showed that total cement dispatches for the first 10 months of the current fiscal were 26.64Mt, 3.31 per cent higher than the corresponding period of the last fiscal. Shalivahana Cement Industries is planning to build an integrated cement project at Chincholi, district Adilabad, Andhra Pradesh. The project will consist of a 2.6Mta cement manufacturing project and a 60-70 MW coal-based power plant.
