Sagar Cements records 22% rise in production for July

India’s Sagar Cements has seen a 22.3 per cent increase in consolidated cement production to 281,597t in July 2019, compared with 230,193t in the year-ago period. Standalone production rose 21.2 per cent to 200,808t from 165,629t. Consolidated cement sales also surged 25.1 per cent to 274,822, against 219,748 in July 2018.

Cimgabon cement output up 53% in 1Q19

Cimgabon’s cement production surged by 52.5 per cent to 112,349t in the first quarter of 2019 when compared with the 1Q18, when it produced 73,633, according to Directinfosgabon. The rise in output is attributed to more efficient use of production equipment and the resumption of cement production since July 2018. Cement sales increased 49.7 per cent YoY to 112,712 in the 1Q19 as domestic demand was robust. The value of sales rose 57.4 per cent YoY to XAF8.4bn (US$14.4m).

Austrian production rises 7% in 2018

Total cement production in Austria rose 7.4 per cent YoY to 5.2Mt in 2018, according to data from the Austrian Cement Industry Association (VÖZ). Annual revenue increased 4.7 per cent to EUR431.5m. In the current year, the country posted a strong performance in cement sales during the first quarter, but this decreased to a moderate level in the 2Q19.

APC members see May sales fall 13%

Sales volumes of mineral products across markets including aggregates, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete (RMC) and mortar declined in the UK in 1Q19, reported the Mineral Products Association (MPA). Domestic sales in Vietnam increased 19 per cent YoY and 147 per cent MoM to 6.797Mt in March 2019, according to the latest data from the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Total cement deliveries by Indonesian cement producers advanced 2.6 per cent in the first two months of 2019 to 11.216Mt when compared with 10.93Mt in the 2M18, according to the latest data from the Indonesian Cement Association, ASI. Vietnamese cement sales increase 4% in 1Q19

Vietnamese cement sales are estimated to have reached 23.08Mt in the 1Q19, an increase of four per cent YoY, according to the latest data released by the Vietnam Building Materials Association. Dangote Cement sold 1.2Mt of cement in Cameroon in 2018, reflecting stable sales when compared with the previous years, according to the Nigeria-based company. Eurocement’s Voronezh plant sees 5% rise in deliveries

Eurocement’s 3.075Mta cement works in Voronezh has increased its cement production by three per cent YoY to 1.87Mt in 2018, according to a company press release. Deliveries rose by five per cent YoY to 1.881Mt in 2018. The plant broke its monthly shipment record twice in the year: in June it shipped 202,000t of cement, followed by 206,000t of delivered product in August.
