Delays in offloading clinker at Chittagong following marine incident29 June 2017, Published under Cement NewsDelays in the offloading of clinker have been experienced at Bangladesh's Chittagong Port after bulk carrier Ocean Phoenix, laden with 45,000t of clinker on board, started to drift on the outer anchorage, after her anchor dragged. The vessel then made contact with the anchored stern of bulk carrier Green Phoenix, which was also loaded with 54,500t of clinker. Bangladesh: Meghna Cement Mills to raise capacity12 April 2017, Published under Cement NewsMeghna Cement Mills, part of the Bashundhara Group, plans to increase grinding capacity at its Bangladesh-based plant with the installation of a vertical roller mill. The company, which sells its cement under the King brand, has reportedly signed a contract with FLSmidth for supply of the mill, according to a report by the Daily Star (Bangladesh).
