Tasman Sea to complete clinker offloading at Suva06 February 2019, Published under Cement NewsBulk carrier Tasman Sea is expected to complete the offloading of 11,880t of clinker at Suva Port, Fiji, today, according to the Fiji Sun. The clinker has been exported from Japan, which became a clinker importer into Fiji a year ago. The ship finished discharging 15,000t of clinker for the Tengy Cement Factory in Lautoka last week. The plant receives a clinker shipment every quarter. |
Clinker damaged on route to Meghnaghat plant31 January 2019, Published under Cement NewsThe MV Haji Abdul Jalil, a vessel carrying 850t of clinker, has anchored near Chandpur Launch Terminal after a crack developed on its keel on the Meghna river. Most of the cement clinker has been damaged, reports Mohammad Asad who is in charge of the vessel. The MV Haji Abdul Jalil had to anchor near the terminal on its journey from Holudiya in India. The ship was originally heading for Narayanganj and LafargeHolcim Cement's Meghnaghat plant. |
