Indonesian cement maker PT Semen Bosowa Maros plans to build a new US$200m cement factory in Central Java. The new factory, to be built in Pati, will have an annual production capacity of 2Mt, the newspaper Bisnis Indonesia reported. Zabaikalcement has announced US$300m plans to build a cement plant in cooperation with Priargunsky Mining and Chemical Association in Zabaikalye region, the firm said. Zabaikalcement’s director Oleg Kikovets said the plant, with the projected annual capacity of 1.3Mt of cement, would be built in the region’s Olovyanninsky district.
