Russia’s Millhouse to build RBL12bn cement plant in Perm Region

Russian company Millhouse, which is controlled by Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich, plans to build a RBL12.25bn cement plant in the Perm Region, the regional government said in a report obtained by Prime-Tass Monday. Cement producer Adana Cimento informs that it decided to start talks with the military pension fund Oyak, cement companies Bolu Cimento and Unye Cimento regarding the sale of its four per cent stake in the ready-mixed concrete firm Oyak Beton. Adana Cimento currently holds a total of 21.6 per cent stake in the company while Oyak, Bolu Cimento and Unye Cimento are other shareholders.

Bolivia cement production up 19.3 per cent

Production of cement of Bolivia increased 19,3 per cent between January and July 2008 when compared to same period in 2007. The figure represents an increase of 177.039t when compared to the Jan-July 2007 period. Demand has been stagnant since 2003, says the Cement & Concrete Association of Malaysia association (C&CA).
