Construction of a 195bn VND (US$12.2m cement grinding plant will start next April in Dung Quat economic zone (EZ) in central Quang Ngai province. The plant, the second of its kind in Quang Ngai province, is expected to be operational in 2008 with an annual output capacity of 500,000t. Cementir shows strong profit growth

Cementir sold 10.24Mt of grey and white cement in 2006, an increase of 14.0%, with cement turnover rising by 23.0% to €663.2m.  Group turnover rose by 22.9% to €1,053.3m and the EBITDA advanced by 34.2% to €247.4m.
