Holcim Romania 2006 turnover Up 28%

Fuchuan Cement’s 2,000tpd upgrade project

Fuchuan Cement Plant in Funing County, Yunnan Province, announced yesterday that it had already started the technology upgrade project for its new-type 2,000tpa dry-processed clinker production line. After the said project goes into production, the company will produce 600,000t cement clinker annually, with an annual output value and taxes handed in exceeding RMB200M and RMB20M, respectively.

Domestic cement prices are likely to increase by roughly VND20,000 to VND30,000/t this year due to the hike of power and coal prices, according to the Construction Ministry and the Vietnam Cement Association. West China Cement to commission milling capacity at Lantian ahead of schedule

Turkish Unye Cimento Plans $27.5m investments for 2007

Turkish cement company Unye Cimento, part of Oyak Group, said it will allocate TRY39m ($27.5m) for investments in 2007.    The company targets to sell 1.35Mt cement and 180,000t clinker and export 350,000t cement and 100,000t clinker in 2007, generating a turnover of TRY210m  ($148.4m), the company said in a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange on January 23, 2007.    Cement production this year is forecast to reach 1.7Mt and production of clinker is seen at 1.5Mt. 

FLS sells marine and turbo gear business in Switzerland

Indian cement prices may not fall following abolition of customs duty
