Cement consumption in Spain rose 4.85 pct year-on-year in the first nine months of 2005 to 37.99Mt, the Spanish cement makers  association Oficemen said on October 18, 2005. IFC Provides loans to Anhui Conch Cement

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) today signed a contract to provide 650 mln yuan in loans to Chinese cement producer Anhui Conch Cement Company. Limak won the tender held for the sale of Ergani cement plant with US$120.7m bid. The SDIF (Saving Deposit Insurance Fund) previously set the minimum estimated value for the plant at US$53m. 13 investors participated in the tender.
