Iran to increase cement exports to Iraq

Iraq has agreed to increase the volume of cement exports from Iran, a senior trade official has said. "As of September 1, each (Iranian) company can export 15,000t of cement into the neighbouring country from Shalamcheh, Chazzabeh and Mehran border terminals," Jahanbakhsh Sanjabi Shirazi, the head of Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce, told Fars News Agency, as quoted by Zawya news. Raysut signs Somaliland jv terminal project

Omani producer Raysut Cement has announced that it has agreed a deal with Barwaaquo Cement of Somaliland to operate a joint venture terminal for the packaging and distribution of cement. Vanguard Mining Corporation has agreed with Yupolo Resources to buy 80 per cent of equity interest in the company and co-develop a 3500ha gypsum and limestone concession in Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia. Eren Holdings to build cement plant in Cameroon

Turkey-based Eren Holdings has signed an investment agreement with the Cameroon government which will see its local subsidiary Medcem build a new cement plant in the African country. The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) has approved the proposal by Hyderabad-based Bhavya Cements Ltd to set up a 3Mta cement grinding unit in in Dhenkanal district, Odisha state.
