Christian Pfeiffer progresses mill order for Cementos Inka

Christian Pfeiffer is installing a new cement grinding plant for Cementos Inka in Peru. The equipment is a 4.2m diameter, 3500kW ball mill and a state-of-the-art QDK 143-Z separator with gas recirculation to help dry the raw material without hot gases.

Domestic cement deliveries in Peru edged up two per cent to 1.264Mt in October 2021 when compared with October 2020, according to Peruvian cement association, Asocem. Peru-based Cementos Pacasmayo has reported a 24.5 per cent YoY increase in revenues to PEN507.2m (US$127m) in the 3Q21, on the back of higher sales volumes of cement, concrete and precast, and an increase in cement and concrete prices, in line with cost inflation. Cement dispatches in Peru advanced 14 per cent YoY and three per cent MoM to 1.238Mt in September, according to Asocem, the country’s cement association. Cement dispatches in Peru advanced 18 per cent to 1.202Mt in August 2021 when compared with 1.018Mt in August 2020, according to Asocem, the country’s cement association. Peru’s cement market grew 26 per cent YoY to 1.135Mt in July 2021, compared with 0.904Mt in the year-ago period, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Peru's Cementos Pacasmayo has seen its revenue increase 285.7 per cent YoY to PEN440.9m (US$111.64m) in the second quarter of 2021, compared to PEN114.3m in the year-ago period.
