ABB signs contract with Votorantim Cimentos

ABB recently signed a contract with Votorantim Cimentos to provide its cpmPlus Expert Optimizer process optimisation system, for 11 new cement plants being built in Brazil and other Latin American countries. FLSmidth has been awarded a contract worth approximately EUR55m by the Russian company Novoroscement, to supply equipment and supervision for modernisation of its Proletariy cement plant. TurboSonic Technoloiges, a global provider of clean air technologies, today announced that it has been awarded a US$1.25m contract for the installation of equipment already on order from TurboSonic. Elecon Engineering Company Ltd has received an order from UltraTech Cement Limited for its Rajashree Cement works IV and Rawan Cement Works II in India.

 The contract involves the supply of five coal and additives stacker and reclamers for the Rajashree works in Karnataka and the supply of three stacker and reclaimers for the Rawan works in Chhattisgarh.

Hanson Cement recently added six new DAF CF85 trucks for its Ketton works in Rutland following a year long trial of a demonstrator vehicle from a local dealer. Spanish cement company group, Cementos La Unión, placed an order with Germany’s Haver and Boecker for a Type 16 RCC Haver Rotoclassic® to be installed at its plant in Valencia.
