Brazil: Cimpor invests clinker transportation

Brazilian logistics giant América Latina Logística (ALL) and Cimpor have signed a contract for the transport of cement clinker. The contract foresees a R$6 million by Cimpor in the renovation of a transshipment terminal and in the reconstruction of a railway line between the cities of Candiota and Nova Santa Rita, in Rio Grande do Sul state. The Siemens Industry Solutions Division of Siemens AE Greece has won an order from the Cypriot cement producer, Vassiliko Cement Works Public Company Ltd. to supply the electrical and automation equipment for a new kiln line and cement mill. Sinoma of China has commissioned Bedeschi the supply of two limestone storages and two shale storage units for the Ibese plant in Nigeria. Each limestone storage has a capacity of 40,000m3 and each shale storage has a capacity of approximately 9000m3.. New order for Sinoma in Congo

China National Materials Co, or Sinoma, said Thursday it signed a US$137.7m contract to build a cement production line for Belgium’s George Forrest International S.A. in Congo. The cement production line will have a daily production capacity of 3300tpd, the Hong Kong-listed Chinese company said in a statement. Construction is expected to be completed in 30 months, it said, without specifying when construction will begin.
