Petron Engineering Construction, service provider in services in mechanical, erection, piping, electrical and instrumentation has received an order from India Cements, Chennai for erection of electrical and instrumentation items at their Malkapur Cement plant, for a total contract value of INR36.85m.

Denmark’s FLSmidth & Co A/S expands cement plant in Kuwait

FLSmidth & Co A/S said on Wednesday (4 June) that it has received a DKK567m engineering and machinery contract from Kuwait Cement Company (KSC). The contract covers the expansion of KSC’s cement plant in Shuaiba Kuwait, outside Kuwait City. FLSmidth & Co supplied equipment for the plant’s existing production line in 1998. The new order includes two TUMS raw mills, a CF silo, a two-support kiln and an ATOX coal mill.

China National Building Material Co wins Libyan deal

Libya’s state-owned Cement African Company has awarded China National Building Material Co a deal to build a cement factory, Libyan state media said on Tuesday.   Under the deal, the factory would be built in 24 months at Wadi al Chaati area, outside Tripoli, with an annual output capacity of 1Mt.   The Libyan state-owned Economic and Social Development Fund will own 40 per cent of the plant, said Jana, without giving further details.   A government committee on economic development recently...

Sinoma receives order from Jurong Taini Cement, China

Sinoma International Engineering Co announced that on May 23rd it signed a general agreement with Jurong Taini Cement Co, Ltd for the latter’s second-phase 5000tpd clinker and cement production line, with the contractual value at RMB797.68M. According to the agreement, Sinoma will be in charge of establishing a 5000tpd clinker and cement production line using the EPC mode for Jurong Taini Cement.

China’s CBMI wins contract to build cement plant in Cyprus

China’s CBMI Co Ltd has signed a contract worth EUR83.3m to build a new factory for Cypriot cement company Vassiliko.   China’s ambassador to Cyprus, Zhao Yali, said it is the biggest contract in financial terms signed between Cyprus and China. He was speaking at the signing ceremony in Nicosia.   The factory should be operational by the end of 2010, and will increase Vassiliko’s production capacity to 2.5Mta from the current 1.85Mta.   Vassiliko will invest EUR135m in the project.

On May 1st, 2008 Nael Cement Co, located at Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates signed a contract for the supply of a new clinker grinding plant. It is the second production line at the AL Ain site.
