FLSmidth & Co A/S said on Tuesday (30 September) that it has secured a €78.5m cement project in Siberia, Russia. The contract, awarded by the mining and metals group SGMK Group, covers the supply of equipment for a complete greenfield cement plant in Uchulensky, near Novokuznetsk. China Sinoma International Engineering announced that its two subsidiaries have signed three contracts on construction of cement production lines worth RMB5bn in total. Sinoma International Engineering Co, a subsidiary of China National Materials Company, said its subsidiary, Sinoma (Suzhou) Construction Co, has signed two agreements, which considerations amounted to RMB248m. The Timken Company announced today that it secured an order from Tianjin Cement Design & Research Institute Co Ltd (TCDRI) to supply bearings for more than 50 vertical cement mills. Wärtsilä Corporation was in June 2008 awarded a contract by ETA Star International LLC of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to supply a 36MW power plant for a new cement works in Angola. FLSmidth MVT has signed an order worth just under EUR 47m (DKK 350m) for a complete material handling equipment package for a new 5500tpd cement production line. The equipment will be supplied to a cement plant in Russia, which FLSmidth is also supplying main machinery to. The order includes crushing station, overland pipe conveyors, limestone pre-blending pit, correctives stacker, portal reclaimer, train unloading stations, coal circular storage and belt conveyor system.
