Masaveu doubles US exports in 2019

Masaveu has doubled its export shipments to the USA from its Tudela Veguín plant in Spain in 2019. The US is now the third-largest market for the cement producer, representing an export volume of 118,673t in 2019, compared to 50,061t in the previous year. Turkmenistan exports 0.256Mt in 2019

Turkmenistan’s Lebap cement plant in Koytendag district exported 256,000t, or nearly 30 per cent of its production, in 2019. The majority of exports were M400 and M500 cement shipments, which were delivered to Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. The plant is one of the largest in central Asia and its production capacity of 1Mta could be extended to 1.5Mta. There are also plans to build a further, similar plant in the district to increase the country’s cement export potential.

Pakistan sees mixed export revenue trend in 7MFY19-20

Pakistan's exports increased in volume terms over the first seven months of FY19-20, but declined in value terms. Carthage Cement to start exports to Europe

Following the award of a CE mark, Tunisia-based Carthage Cement will start exports to Europe from March 2020 onward, reports ilBoursa. The first shipment will consist of  150,000t of cement. “This operation marks a new horizon and a new opportunity for the company as part of its drive to diversify the destinations of its products and its commercial fulfilment,” said the company in a statement.

Bangladesh's cement industry has earned an export revenue of US$6.11m in the 7MFY19-20 (July 2019-January 2020), compared to US$6.55m earned in 7MFY18-19, a contraction of 6.7 per cent YoY. Amouda Ciment exports 3200t to Niger

In 2019 Algeria-based Amouda Ciment’s El Beida cement plant exported more than 3200t of cement to Niger, according to El Watan. The company’s first export shipment was carried out in August, when it supplied 1400t to Niger and was followed by two deliveries of 400t each in October and November.
