Clinker vessel salvage delay30 August 2019, Published under Cement NewsA vessel carrying clinker which capsized in the Meghan River at Birbir, Bangaldesh on Tuesday could not be immediately salvaged. The MV Tanvir Tousib-2 was anchored at Birbir on the high-tide but was struck by another vessel, the Bashundhara Food-1. The MV Tanvir Tousib-2 was carrying clinker to Dhaka. The cost of the loss could be as much as BDT200m (US$2.36m) according to Khairul Alam, master of the ship. Attempts to salvage the ship were due to be attempted on Wednesday evening. |
