Pakistan: export revenues fall in 1QFY16-17

Algeria sees 15% drop in cement imports

Cement imports into Algeria have seen their value decrease by 25.3 per cent from US$328.95m to US$245.62m in the first eight months of 2016, according to the Algerian Customs Department. In terms of volumes, imports saw a 15.5 per cent decrease from 4.5Mt to 3.8Mt. The average price of cement imports into Algeria has fallen by around 24 per cent in the first seven months of 2016 when compared with Jan-Jul 2015.

Vietnam cement exports fall 17.2% YoY in 9M16

In September Vietnam’s clinker and cement exports fell 0.3 per cent to 1.15Mt when compared with August but climbed 3.5 per cent to US$48.16m, according the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade. Tajikistan has commenced the export of cement to Uzbekistan, according to the Tajik Ministry of Industry.
